At The GreenerGreenhouse, our mission is to promote the construction of sustainable greenhouses as a solution for communities lacking access to fresh produce due to financial constraints or other barriers. Our greenhouse has been designed using recycled 2-liter plastic soda bottles, fostering a culture of sustainability and environment conservation.
Our Story: Sowing the First Greenhouse for a Greener Future
In spring 2022, we constructed our first prototype greenhouse, which played a pivotal role in the summer program at a camp for adults with severe developmental challenges. This was part of our initiative called “Nature Lives Here Encounter”. The campers planted lima bean seeds and used the greenhouse to nurture their plants. This experience not only brought joy to the campers but also emphasized the incredible value of a greenhouse in fostering growth and learning.
